LOS ANGELES – Romanian singer Marcel Pavel and the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) have both been fined $1,685 for changing the lyrics and the beat of Romania’s national anthem.
Pavel switched the last two lyrics of the second verse with the last two lyrics of the first verse when performing the anthem on Tuesday at the Romania vs France football match. Pavel said it was his idea and the FRF agreed with his decision.
